The Inn at Kristofers, situated on Bay Shore Drive-in Sister Bay, Wisconsin, is a wonderful place to go for a special dinner. My husband and I treated ourselves to dinner there throughout our latest visit to Door County and we were really glad we did. For another perspective, please check out www.crunchbase.com/organization/orange-county-seo/. We'd a terrific dinner. The first thing we discovered after being seated was the wonderful view of the water. The restaurant is right across the road from the Bay in Sister Bay and big picture windows along the front wall of the restaurant display the water view. Soon after being placed our water glasses were filled and a wedge of fresh lime was added. We received choices and clean, warm, multi-grain sheets. The special that night was prepared quail which my husband bought. I'd the qualified Angus filet mignon, and our oldest son, who'd joined us o-n our vacation, chose the Roast Duck with Orange Grand Marnier sauce. Since we wanted to save yourself room for dessert we skipped appetizers, soup, and salad although the featured soup for the night, walnut butternut squash bisque topped with pecans, seemed delightful. All three entrees were outstanding. The speech of the plates was pretty and the foodstuff tasted as good as it looked. The Angus filet had a Cabernet sauce that was the ideal touch with the meat. Homemade garlic mashed potatoes and a garnish of haystack potatoes rounded out-the entre. The duck was sensitive, wet, and very tasty. It was combined with new steamed greens that were cooked just right, and wild rice that included dried cranberries and nuts. The smoked quail was, based on my husband, cooked to perfection. He really loved it. It was followed closely by exactly the same wild rice as the goose and a crepe filled with a cranberry sauce, which h-e thought was delicious too. For dessert we split two selections; a pumpkin mousse torte and the crme brulee. The pumpkin mousse torte had a really light pumpkin taste and was served with a fresh whipped cream and caramel sauce. The crme brulee was flamed at the table with Grand Marnier. The mixture of creamy vanilla custard, crunchy caramelized sugar, and Grand Marnier was delicious. It is a wonderful place to go for an unique meal whether its for someones birthday, wedding, or perhaps to treat yourself, even though the Inn at Kristofers isn't an inexpensive restaurant. I highly recommend trying it. The food is very good and therefore is the service. Although we didnt have reservations when we dined there, you might want to call forward and make reservations, especially if you are heading to Door County during the busy summertime (http://www.doorcountycountry.com/food/innatkristoferssisterbay/)..
