This AegeanSoft Privacy Policy applies to all software products and related services provided by AegeanSoft Co., Ltd, including but not limited to NoteExpress, NoteExpress Web, OpenNE.

For instance: Name, phone number, home address, etc., submitted in surveys during our online events.

If you choose not to provide such information, specific functionalities may be unavailable, but this will not affect other services. Device Information: For instance: Device model, OS version, unique device identifier, Open Anonymous Identifier (OAID), ANDROID ID, etc.

Service Log Information: For instance: Operation records, service error logs, referral URLs.

Usage Log Information: For instance: Duration and frequency of service usage.

3.2.2 Location Information

AegeanSoft mainly provides academic reference management software products, which generally do not involve location-based services, and we generally do not collect your location information. If a specific software product provides location-related features, we will notify you separately and obtain your consent before you use such features.

Data collected to enhance your experience with our products/services.

Information Contained in Third-Party User Content: For instance: Your personal information may appear in photos/videos shared by other users through our services.

We may receive information obtained by third-party partners when you use their services integrated with our platform. For example, when you log into partner services using your AegeanSoft account, we may receive your service name and login time solely for authorization management purposes. 3.4 Processing of Information Related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) Features

Some AegeanSoft software products provide AI-related services, referring to text understanding, content generation and optimization assistance powered by artificial intelligence models (for example, text polishing, rewriting, outline generation, and other AI-related features and services in the Software). When you use such features, to fulfill the functional purpose, we will, after you actively submit a request, transmit your input content and necessary request information to third-party model service providers (including the JD Cloud platform and the model providers connected therewith, such as DeepSeek and Qwen) for processing, so as to generate output content and return it to the Software for display. The foregoing transmission is solely necessary for providing the features; we do not use your input content for model training or any purpose unrelated to providing the services. The processing of relevant data by third-party model service providers is subject to their respective privacy policies, and we recommend that you review the privacy policies of the relevant service providers before use.

4. How We Use Collected Information

We strictly comply with legal regulations and user agreements, utilizing collected information solely for the following purposes:

• To provide services to you.
• To satisfy your personalized needs: for example, language settings, personalized support.
• Product development and service optimization: for example, analyzing system failure logs to improve services.
• Security assurance: for example, identity verification, security threat prevention, anti-fraud monitoring.
• Software management: for example, software authentication, version updates.

To ensure service security, we record application operation information (such as usage frequency, failure information), but we do not combine analytics data with personal identity information.

When you access, modify or delete relevant information, we may require identity verification to protect the security of your account.

7.4 Your Legal Rights

We will collect and use your information only to achieve the functionalities of our products or services as described in this Policy. You may exercise the following rights through the contact methods set out in this Policy or through the channels provided within the relevant software:

We use encryption, anonymization and other means to protect your information security. In the event of mergers, acquisitions or asset transfers involving information sharing, we will notify you through announcements and continue to protect your personal information in accordance with laws and regulations.
