This is how a pillow case triggered a surprisingly deep conversation between a four-year-old boy and his mother Let me begin by clarifying. Im not the mom or the four-year-old but rather the uncle who gifted his favorite nephew a brand-new pillow and pillow case. The pillow and case that would trigger this deep exchange of ideas were The Mini-King toddler pillow and matching Mini-King pillowcase. I got them one evening on a whim while doing a little shopping on Amazon. My prime subscription affords me free shipping and the luxury of completely avoiding all malls for well over two years. That is a win-win for everybody, including my little nephew who now had a package heading his way. A couple of days later, I got a thank you call from my sibling saying the pillow and cases arrived and are a huge hit. We found out about Learn more at http://www.amazon.com/Toddler-Pillowcase-10025Organic-Cotton-Mini-King/dp/B00TQ5HZ4Y/Mini-King Pillowcase/ by browsing books in the library. She then went on to tell me about an e-book that was included with the pillow cases. I forgot that the cases come with a bed time story showcasing the pillow character whos smiling face is printed on the corner of each case. It turns out this adorable little story of a pillow that gets dirty and put into the washing machine promoted a deep discussion about right, wrong and the subtle art of parenting. This all unfolded that night in Jasons bedroom as my sister shared the downloaded picture book with him. Early in the story, the kid and his pal "the pillow" are in the yard playing. This caused an extremely definitive "he is being naughty" from my nephew. When asked, who is being naughty? Jason explained to his mom that the little kid was naughty because he took his pillow outside, and it will get all dirty. I was already rolling with laughter at this extremely serious evaluation when my sis said, "wait, there is more." As the story progresses the pillow character gets increasingly more dirty, which prompts an extremely concerned "he is gonna get sick from the germs". Asking for clarification my sister discovers that the little kid in the story is now running the risk of illness by associating with the dirtied pillow. This starts a short conversation on germs and how some can cause people to get sick. Jason, satisfied that the boy is most likely not in any serious danger, allows his mother to continue. The story finishes up with the expected bed-time story happy ending. Leading Jason to conclude that the kid wasnt actually naughty after all because his mom let him take his pillow outside. Then closing with a hilarious exchange based upon this 4 year olds view of appropriate parenting. Jason still thinks the story mother was too lax. As expected by their excellent reviews, the pillow and pillow case are loved for their softness and happy colors. Unexpected was the effect of the included e-book bedtime story "The Mini-Kings. Big Surprise". Though my sister and I both had a good laugh about it afterwards. She truly enjoyed the story time and conversation that such a simple little tale created. If you are trying to find something to enhance the bed times around your house check out the Mini-King collection at the link below. I look forward to hearing exactly what your little philosophers think about the "Mini-Kings Big Surprise." ..
