Audio books can work very well along side produced books for children which have grasped the basic principles of reading but should develop... Audiobooks are becoming more and more common as people with no time to sit back and read a book make the most of iPods and MP3 players while they rush through their everyday lives to listen to the latest bestseller. Wheres the spot of audiobooks for kids though, at any given time when we are fighting to encourage kids to read and promote literacy for all? Audio books can perhaps work perfectly along-side printed books for children that have understood the basics of reading but must build vocabulary. They may sit back using the printed book and follow the writing as they pay attention to it being read on the CD or MP3 download. Not only does the reading aloud carry the story to life, at any given time when slowness of reading skills can frustrate children when they are trying to make out a story line, however it means that they can deal with harder vocabulary than they may otherwise be able to. Hearing a book read aloud as an audio book teaches them the correct pronunciation of words which may otherwise be hard to work out in the complexities of English spelling. By playing the same story over and over as children like to do, they can memorize it and can suddenly realize that they can actually read the printed book with the aid of their memory. Click here my mavis beacon to check up the meaning behind it. This soon translates to real reading as word identification increases. Of course if parents have time to read aloud to their young ones this is invaluable in having a love of reading, but today once we are hard-pressed to find the time for more than an instant bed-time story, audio books give us another way of satisfying our childrens desire for more stories and give them the love of good books and the motivation to learn to read themselves. I really do not believe that audio books must replace reading to your children, nothing can be much better than cuddling up to Mom or Dad around the sofa, however they can supplement reading time when Mom or Dad are too busy to sit still!. Another excellent way to use audiobooks for kids is on long car journeys. Simply take along a few favorite audio books as MP3 downloads and so long as each daughter or son has their own MP3 player you may get through hours of tedious operating with hardly an issue! I really do suggest that each child must have their own system though. Should you expect them to utilize the car CD system youll wind up listening to countless squabbles over what to listen to next. Either that o-r you will end up screaming with boredom as they repeat the same favorite story for your ninety-ninth time! The huge selection of books accessible as audio books, from Harry Potter to Roald Dahl, ensures that theres something for endless variety and each age group, from the classics like Winnie the Pooh and the Narnia series to the latest Philip Pullman. If you want to build up a collection of young ones audio books within an inexpensive way consider joining an online audio book team, where for a reasonable monthly fee you can obtain one or more books each month, according to your membership program. Your only problem is likely to be in resisting the attractive books on offer for people and going up to the children area!.
