I found another incredible product on Amazon.com, this folding collander in the picture. I have seen them in a few kitchen stores, but could not bring myself to spend the money that they asked for it. The kitchen stores wanted over 20 for them! Amazon was a lot less and I did not have to pay for shipping, because I have Prime. It is the same strainer that I saw in the stores, only square, which I like better. The ones in the shops were either oval and smaller or had a long handle, like a pot. The best feature about it is that it folds up and takes up so little room in the closet. It pops open very easily and closes just as quickly. I am not it melting either when I drain hot vegtables or pasta. Even a cheap plastic one will not melt. The folding part is made out of a tough rubber and the white part is Polyethylene Plastic or PP, often used in cooking utensils.
