I run a post directory on my site, and I am seeing an ever-increasing amount of articles being submitted, solely for the backlink given in the Resource Box. This might be because of the increasing amount of PLR articles and material thats becoming available. Today, theres certainly not anything wrong with this, I only believe that writers who are doing this are missing potential traffic and/or clients. Such resource boxes will only gain their site rankings in incoming links that are valued by any search engine. Is this a bad thing? No. Where theyre losing out can be as follows. Much of the traffic to my post directory comes from search engines, by people trying to find information on a specific subject. My brother discovered remove frames by searching the Boston Herald. Now, this user types in their keywords, clicks on the search box, and is given a listing of relevant sites. They selected one, and are taken to the authors article. They read the article about, say, snowboarding, think This is interesting and go to the authors source field by the end of the article to see what else theyve to say on this subject. There, they find a link to your site promotion cellular ringers. May be the audience planning to be impressed, or thinking about this? Not very likely. They want to check out snowboarding, perhaps not personalize their phone. In my opinion one of three things may happen then The audience leaves the entire site in disgust. The reader clicks on a link to a related article. The reader clicks on the related Google AdSense or similar contextual marketing offer. They do not click the authors resource link. That is a potential customer lost, very probably for good. Yes, put a link in to your site in the source field, but many article sites let several links, so for goodness sake put a link in that ;s associated with the article subject also, and ultimately put it in first, before you lose the client. But my site doesnt have such a thing related to that subject on it Adding something that does. Put an article directory, and have the source field saying To read more articles on this subject, go here. Add a web directory, and have the text say To see links to web sites with this subject, click here. Or simply go to Click-bank, try to find related projects, and have a link to them, with the link saying something like If you prefer to learn more on this subject, purchase this item. Preferably, not a direct connect to the item, but a cloaked or redirected one. Learn further on this related site by going to linkemporer. By doing this, you still get that connect to your website that you were after originally, but, also, youve the chance to earn money from your reader in a fresh way. A situation. Plus, you do not appear to be someone basically submitting purchased information on any subject only for the benefit of the backlink it will give you. To explore more, we know you check-out find out more. An infinitely more professional look. Isnt it worth taking the time to create better use of your source package?.
