Thanks for the time, Jag Dear Jag: I actually do not know the real history of the touch collar. It is a great question. If I understand such a thing about it, Ill write about it here, in my e-zine. As far as using one ring the D-ring or two the safety ring and the D-ring... Broadly speaking, I just connect the leash towards the D-ring. This is how the collar was created to be used. You can, but, catch the leash to both rings. This will damper the correction. Be taught more on the affiliated URL - Hit this web site: webaddress. You may use the touch collar in this way if you have an extremely sensitive and painful dog or if you are training a workouts where--for some reason--the dog is self-correcting, inadvertently. For example, when training the dog control in protection work, we try to speak to the dog that he must only lunge when the attack command is given, first. He then is corrected, In the event the dog runs before the attack order is given. Nevertheless, in such a situation, we want to error o-n the side of under-correcting your dog, rather than have him think that he should NOT lunge by accidentally over-correcting. Make sense? That is all for the time being, people! Adam.
